Tyco ESFR-17 (TY7126) Upright ESFR Sprinkler Head

This Tyco ESFR-17 Brass Upright Early Suppression Fast Response Fire Sprinkler features a fusible link activating at 165F (74C) with a 16.8 K-Factor, and 3/4 in. NPT threads. Each upright head features a brass frame and copper deflector. The manufacturer part number is 58-447-1-165 and the Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is TY7126.

The ESFR-17 Upright Sprinklers are suppression mode sprinklers that are especially advantageous as a means of eliminating in-rack sprinklers when protecting high-piled storage. These sprinklers are primarily used for, but not limited to, protections of encapsulated or non-encapsulated common materials, cartoned and expanded plastics, and some storage arrangements of rubber tires and roll paper. Using a heat-activated fusible link assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 165F (74C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin.

The TY7126 is an Early Suppression Fast Response sprinkler and is listed for use when installed in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements for wet pipe sprinkler systems and designed for use in high-piled storage areas. This upright sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) FM and connects to wet piping systems.

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 3/4 NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.
