Hose

Need to get your hands on a fire hose reel for storing and quickly accessing hoses for commercial and industrial fire protection applications? QRFS offers several selections to fit your needs.

Our fire hose reel options can accommodate 1-1/2” or 2-1/2” lightweight or rubber-lined single jacket hoses from 100 ft. to 250 ft. These storage devices swing out 180 degrees, and trained individuals can quickly unravel the hose and deploy it to put out a fire. Fire hose reels all come in a vibrant red finish so people can easily locate them in an emergency.

We Only Sell High-Quality Fire Hose Reels

Our fire hose reels are made of materials that are meant to last and not fail in an emergency, with solid steel arms and welded construction. Each fire hose reel we carry is built to industry standards and made in the USA. They are all shipped with a one-piece 14-gauge wall bracket that enables a 180° swing, allowing easy access and a quick response time by moving the hose in whatever direction is needed to fight the fire.

The reels are designed to hold the same hoses that may be required in NFPA 14 Class II and Class III standpipe systems for use by trained personnel. Our reels also have a vented wheel that helps avoid mold and mildew buildup on the hoses.

You can easily store and use your building’s fire hoses without worrying about kinks, problems finding them during a fire, or issues deploying hoses in an emergency.

Is a Fire Hose Reel Required?

Fire hose reels aren’t required in all buildings. They are typically employed in high-risk areas with larger spaces, such as high-rises, industrial facilities, and certain standpipe systems. NFPA standards state that onsite fire hoses that may need reels are necessary if you have a Class II standpipe system that hasn’t been modified with firefighter hose connections or a Class III standpipe system in a building without a full sprinkler system and where 2-1/2” hose connections do not have reducers and caps.

What Are the Main Reasons to Have a Fire Hose Reel?

There are multiple purposes for fire hose reels in emergencies, including:

  1. A proper storage area for fire hoses.
  2. Fast, easy, and highly visible access to a fire hose.
  3. A system that allows people to pull out hoses and re-roll them without kinks, ensuring steady water flow.

Fire hose reels simply make it easier and more reliable for users to put out a fire while complying with codes and standards.
