Tyco LFII Residential Fast Response White Horizontal Sidewall Fire Sprinkler delivers decorative, competitively-priced defense against fire in ordinary hazard residential occupancies such as homes, apartments, dormitories, and hotels. Using a heat-activated 3mm glass bulb, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 155F (68C), controlling residential fires and facilitating the safe evacuation and escape of a building's occupants.
The Tyco Model LFII has a 4.4 K-Factor and installs with 1/2" (15 mm) National Pipe Thread (NPT), used in fire sprinkler systems throughout the United States. This Residential Fast Response Fire Sprinkler features a white finish, brass frame, bronze compression screw, bronze deflector, and a beryllium-nickel sealing assembly with PTFE.
This 155F (68C) temperature rating strikes a balance between a fire sprinkler that activates too soon, causing accidental discharge, and too late. 155F (68C) Residential Fast Response Fire Sprinklers can be installed to wet and dry pipe fire sprinkler systems, and are preferred for use in one and two-family dwellings, apartments, duplexes, and boarding houses. The Tyco Model LFII is also a suitable choice for installation in many college dormitories, condominiums, and nursing homes.
With a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR), this horizontal sidewall sprinkler installs on a wall or the side of a beam where ceiling piping is not desirable and may be installed and used in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D and local fire code. Each Model LFII sprinkler is made by Tyco, a global manufacturer with more than a half-century in the fire protection industry.
This product is UL listed, and appropriate for use in fire protection systems when accepted by the authority having jurisdiction. In accordance with NFPA 13, a higher temperature rating may be required when installing a residential fast response fire sprinkler in or near heat sources, unventilated spaces, uncovered steam mains, or uninsulated rooftops.
