Viking Freedom Residential Domed Concealed Pendent (VK468D) Fire Sprinkler Head

This Viking Freedom Residential Concealed Pendent Fire Sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 155F (68C) with a 4.9 K-Factor, and 1/2 in. NPT threads. Each concealed pendent head features a brass frame and bronze deflector. The Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is VK468D. This is a residential response, standard coverage sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI.

The VK468D domed concealed sprinkler delivers effective, affordable defense in fire sprinkler systems for residential occupancies. Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 155F (68C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin. When installed properly, this fire sprinkler head maintains listings and approvals from cULus (Category VKKW, Classified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61, Drinking Water System Components [MH48034]), and is NYC Approved (MEA 89-92-E, Volume 35). When using Viking Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinkler VK468D for systems designed to NFPA 13D or NFPA 13R, apply the listed areas of coverage and minimum water supply requirements shown in the Approval Charts in the datasheet. This concealed sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL and connects to wet piping systems.

Viking Freedom Residential Concealed (VK468D) Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This residential concealed pendent domed sprinkler is available at a 155F (68C) and 175F (79C), temperature. To select your temperature, visit the “Options” section at the top of this product page. Additionally, use the Cover Plate option to select a Cover Plate finish and temperature.

The VK468D listed accessories include the approved Viking Wrench (part no. 13577W/B), and the approved Viking Cover(s) (part no. 12207), which are available in two temperatures, and a variety of finishes.
