Viking VK466 Residential Fast Response White Pendent Fire Sprinkler delivers powerful, affordable fire suppression in intermediate hazard residential occupancies such as homes, apartments, dormitories, and hotels. Using a heat-activated 3mm glass bulb, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 175F (79C), supporting rescue and evacuation efforts by lowering ambient temperatures.
Viking's Freedom Residential Pendent Sprinklers are designed to be unobtrusive, fast-acting, and capable of providing coverage of up to 20 feet by 20 feet (6.1 m x 6.1 m).
The Viking Model VK466 has a 5.2 K-Factor and installs with 1/2" (12.7 mm) National Pipe Thread (NPT), used in fire sprinkler systems throughout the United States. This Residential Fast Response Fire Sprinkler features a white finish, brass frame, brass screw, brass or phosphor bronze deflector, and a spring sealing assembly made with nickel alloy and PTFE tape.
With a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR), this pendent sprinkler hangs from above-ceiling piping and may be installed and used in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D and local fire code. Each Model VK466 sprinkler is made by Viking, a global leader in fire protection manufacturing for nearly 100 years.
This product is UL listed, and appropriate for use in fire protection systems when accepted by the authority having jurisdiction. In accordance with NFPA 13, a higher temperature rating may be required when installing a residential fast response fire sprinkler in or near heat sources, unventilated spaces, uncovered steam mains, or uninsulated rooftops.
