2 1/2" (63.5 mm) Flow Switch is designed to detect fire sprinkler activations and send an alarm to a fire alarm panel and/or local fire authorities when water flows through fire system piping. Manufactured by System Sensor, a global fire alarm systems expert, this 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) WFDN-Series Waterflow Detector is designed for indoor and outdoor use in commercial, residential and industrial water-based systems.
This 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) Flow Switch is suitable for high and low temperatures and installs either vertically or horizontally on piping from Schedule 7 to Schedule 40. The NEMA 4-rated enclosure insulates electrical components and resists corrosion while giving installers and inspectors a clear view of flow direction.
The built-in timer on each 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) Flow Switch delays alarm activation and reduces the number of false alarms caused by pressure surges or trapped air. Choosing a delay setting of up to 90 seconds is easy as turning the timer dial.
2 1/2" (63.5 mm) Flow Switch includes features that make installation and setup in low-light environments simple, including high-contrast pad-printed markings, set-by-feel timer tabs, and raised texured lettering. Tamper switch covers (sold separately) snap into place and UL-listed models of the 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) WFDN-Series Waterflow Detector feature tamper-resistant cover screws that prevent unauthorized entry.
