6" (152.4 mm) Flow Switch is designed to detect fire sprinkler activations and send an alarm to a fire alarm panel and/or local fire authorities when water flows through fire system piping. Manufactured by System Sensor, a global fire alarm systems expert, this 6" (152.4 mm) WFDN-Series Waterflow Detector is designed for indoor and outdoor use in commercial, residential and industrial water-based systems.
This 6" (152.4 mm) Flow Switch is suitable for high and low temperatures and installs either vertically or horizontally on piping from Schedule 10 to Schedule 40. The NEMA 4-rated enclosure insulates electrical components and resists corrosion while giving installers and inspectors a clear view of flow direction.
The built-in timer on each 6" (152.4 mm) Flow Switch delays alarm activation and reduces the number of false alarms caused by pressure surges or trapped air. Choosing a delay setting of up to 90 seconds is easy as turning the timer dial.
6" (152.4 mm) Flow Switch includes features that make installation and setup in low-light environments simple, including high-contrast pad-printed markings, set-by-feel timer tabs, and raised texured lettering. Tamper switch covers (sold separately) snap into place and UL-listed models of the 6" (152.4 mm) WFDN-Series Waterflow Detector feature tamper-resistant cover screws that prevent unauthorized entry.
