Grooved OS&Y Gate Valve | Lansdale™
The Lansdale™ Grooved OS&Y (Outside Stem & Yoke) Gate Valve is designed for fire protection and waterworks systems as a visible-position control valve. In operation, the rising stem clearly indicates whether the valve is open or closed, helping with maintenance, inspections, and system verification.
This resilient seated gate valve features a heavy-duty handwheel and attachment nut, along with a triple O-ring stem seal to promote long-term leak resistance and durability. The body is coated internally and externally with fusion-bonded epoxy per AWWA C550, and the valve complies with AWWA C515 standards. Grooved ends meet AWWA (or ANSI C606) groove standards, facilitating quick installation using grooved couplings.
Because the OS&Y design uses a rising stem, adequate vertical clearance must be provided in installations. This valve is commonly used in fire sprinkler risers, control assemblies, and upstream control points where clear valve position feedback and dependable shutoff are essential.
