Universal Post Indicator Valve (PIV) Wrench

This Universal Post Indicator Valve (PIV) Wrench is a specialized tool used for opening, closing, and operating post indicator valves in fire protection systems. It provides the necessary leverage and control to manipulate the valve, enabling authorized personnel to control water flow, perform maintenance, and ensure the proper operation of the fire protection system. PIVs are large valves typically located outdoors and used to control the water supply to fire sprinkler systems or hydrants.

The wrench is designed specifically for the purpose of opening, closing, and operating these valves. This wrench features a tamper-proof adjustable slide nut that locks into the square operating nut of a vertical indicator valve, allowing an underground fire line valve to be operated at ground level.  The slide nut secures one side of the indicator valve wrench to an eye bolt or loop used to lock the wrench in place. This wrench is 15 in. x 8-1/2 in. and has a red finish.
