Non-Recessed Sprinkler Head Guard with Baffle for Upright/Pendent/Sidewall Sprinklers
These fire sprinkler head guards help protect fire sprinklers from impact damage from a variety of causes in a variety of settings – flying balls in a gym, forklifts in a warehouse, or vandalism in an arena. These fire sprinkler head guards hook around 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. NPT fire sprinklers with a latch. Made of a durable metal wire, these guards, sometimes called fire sprinkler cages, protect from light to hard hits to prevent damage and/or accidental activation.
Any place with a high risk for impact/damage to a protruding fire sprinkler is recommended to have a head guard. That typically includes hotels, schools, gyms, warehouses, or any place with low headroom or clearance. These head guards are available as recessed, non-recessed, and non-recessed with a baffle. The baffle is designed for use in a storage facility and prevents water from nearby sprinklers from contacting the heat element on the fire sprinkler it is installed with.
