This 4-1/2 in. Fire Sprinkler Trim Ring conceals oversized holes cut accidentally or to meet seismic requirements. This trim ring is made of Steel, has a 4-1/2 in. outer diameter and a 2-2/5 in. hole.
This fire sprinkler trim ring can conceal holes that are 2-2/5 in. or smaller in inner diameter and are 2-2/5 in. larger in inner diameter. Installation is easy – simply place behind your escutcheon or cover plate when installing the sprinkler head.

The ring fits really good. The measurement of 2-2/5 inch is not a real good measurement to use 2.4" or @ 2-3/8". Tape measures read better that way. This is a great company to get these types of products from.
