Viking Microfast Quick Response Upright (VK300) Fire Sprinkler Head

This Viking Microfast QR Upright Fire Sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 286F (141C) with a 5.6 K-Factor, and 1/2 in. NPT threads. Each upright head features a brass frame and brass deflector. The Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is VK300. This is a quick response, standard coverage sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI.

The VK300 upright sprinkler delivers effective, affordable defense against fire in light and ordinary (UL) hazard occupancies. Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 286F (141C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin.

Viking Microfast Upright Fire Sprinkler (VK300) Sprinkler Head Listings and Approvals

Each Microfast upright sprinkler is made by Viking, a global leader in fire protection manufacturing for nearly 100 years. When installed properly, this fire sprinkler head maintains listings and approvals from cULus (Category VNIV), FM (Classes 2002, 2020). Refer to the datasheet for listings and approvals in specific temperatures and/or applications.

The Viking Microfast Quick Response Upright Sprinkler VK300 is cULus Listed for installation in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA 13 for standard spray sprinklers. Designed for use in Light and Ordinary Hazard occupancies. The sprinkler installation rules contained in NFPA 13 for standard spray upright sprinklers must be followed.

The Microfast Quick Response Upright Sprinkler VK300 is FM Approved as a quick response Non-Storage upright sprinkler.

This upright sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL, FM and connects to wet piping systems.

Viking Microfast (VK300) Upright Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This upright sprinkler features a chrome finish and a 286F (141C) temperature. Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black. White Polyester Painted (White), and Flat Black Polyester Painted (Black) are UL Listed as corrosion resistant. Temperature options include 135F (57C), 155F (68C), 175F (79C), 200F (93C), and 286F (141C). Finish and temperature combinations available in the “Options” section at the top of this product page.
