The Reliable™ Model G horizontal sidewall fire sprinkler (SIN R1235) is a standard response, standard spray sprinkler designed for dependable fire protection in approved applications where sidewall mounting is required. Part number GH0C combines a 5.6 K-factor (80 metric) with a 135°F (57°C) temperature rating and a chrome-plated finish, making it a strong option for installations that call for a lower temperature rating while maintaining a clean, corrosion-resistant appearance in exposed or finished areas.
This sidewall sprinkler is engineered to mount along walls or beams and project water outward and downward in a quarter-spherical distribution pattern intended to cover the area below and in front of the sprinkler when installed to the proper spacing and obstruction requirements. In a fire condition, the heat-responsive glass bulb operates at its rated temperature, releasing the sealing assembly so water can flow through the orifice and strike the deflector, producing a uniform standard spray pattern to help control fire growth. The sprinkler installs with a 1/2 in. NPT connection and is intended for use in wet pipe systems when installed and maintained in accordance with applicable NFPA standards and the authority having jurisdiction.
Because sidewall sprinklers have unique layout considerations compared to pendent and upright sprinklers, correct placement is critical to achieve intended coverage and to prevent discharge interference from soffits, beams, lighting, ductwork, and other obstructions. Keep sprinklers in original packaging until installation, handle carefully to avoid impact to the glass bulb and deflector, and use the correct sprinkler wrench engagement to prevent frame distortion and over-tightening. Do not install any sprinkler that appears damaged, corroded, leaking, or field-painted, and maintain the system in accordance with NFPA 25 and local requirements.
