This Reliable™ Model XL Flush EC Institutional Pendent Fire Sprinkler is a quick response, extended coverage sprinkler, activating at 165°F with a 5.6K K-Factor, and is rated for light hazard occupancies. Each Pendent head features a heat-sensitive fusible link assembly, extended 1/2 in. NPT threads, and a CDA Alloy frame with Brass deflector.
This is a quick response, extended coverage, EC Institutional sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI. The Reliable™ EC Institutional Sprinkler features a tamper-resistant design, making it a safe and effective choice for use with concealed piping in various EC Institutional mental health occupancies, correctional facilities, or other settings where flush, tamper-resistant sprinklers may be required.
Using a heat-activated fusible link assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 165°F, effectively containing the spread of fire. The R1344 is installed flush using the corresponding flush escutcheon, leaving exposed only a small portion of the fusible link assembly to ensure the timely activation of the fire sprinkler. The Reliable™ EC Institutional Pendent Sprinkler R1344 is designed for NFPA 25. Apply the listed areas of coverage and minimum water supply requirements as shown in the datasheet. This Pendent sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) and connects to wet fire protection systems.
Reliable™ R1344 EC Institutional Fire Sprinkler Head Listings and Approvals
During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional installation and storage information.
