Two Piece Recessed Retrofit Escutcheon for 1/2 in. NPT Sprinklers in Chrome
These devices cover the holes surrounding fire sprinkler heads that were cut during installation, making sprinklers look cleaner and ensuring they work correctly. This Chrome two-piece retrofit (split ring) escutcheon is sized for 3/4 in. NPT fire sprinklers and allow for up to 3/4 in. adjustment to cover open space between the fire sprinkler head and the ceiling.
This two-piece Steel escutcheon has an outer diameter of 2-23/25 in. It features an aesthetically pleasing chrome finish and replaces corroded, painted, damaged, or unsightly escutcheons. To install this retrofit fire sprinkler escutcheon, cut one side of the faulty escutcheon, remove it, and fasten the two halves of the retrofitted escutcheon ring to the fire sprinkler's frame.

NFPA 13 stipulates that a recessed sprinkler “shall be installed with the escutcheon that is part of its listing.” Non-listed recessed escutcheons should only be used if the appropriate authority having jurisdiction approves their use.
