Tyco RFII (TY3531) Quick Response Concealed Pendent Fire Sprinkler

This Tyco RFII Concealed Pendent Quick Response fire sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 155F (68C) with a 5.6 K-Factor, and 1/2 in. NPT threads. Each concealed pendent sprinkler head features a bronze frame and deflector. This sprinkler was designed to be covered by a Tyco RFII cover plate, allowing for optimal aesthetics and proper function. The manufacturer part number is 51-790-1-155 and the Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is TY3531.

The RFII Sprinkler delivers decorative, affordable defense against fire. Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 155F (68C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin. This model has a 5.6 K-factor. These sprinklers are optimal for architecturally sensi­tive areas such as hotel lobbies, office buildings, churches, and restaurants.

Each RFII sprinkler is made by Tyco, a global leader in fire-suppression products. This concealed fire sprinkler head maintains UL Listing and is FM Approved as Standard Response.

The TY3531 is a commercial sprinkler and is cULus listed for use when installed in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements for wet pipe sprinkler systems and designed for use in commercial areas. This concealed pendent sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL Listed and connects to ceiling wet piping systems.

Tyco RFII (TY3531) Quick Response Concealed Pendent Head Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This concealed sprinkler head is available at a temperature of 155 (68C) or 200F (93C) and must be paired with a Tyco RFII Cover Plate. 139F (59C) cover plates are designed for use with the 155F sprinkler and come in a variety of finishes: Grey White, Brushed Brass, Brass, Signal White, Jet Black, Terra Brown, Brushed Chrome, and Polished Chrome. Along with the required Cover Plate, TY3531 listed accessories include the RFII sprinkler wrench, manufacturer part number (56-000-1-075) and the Tyco Air and Dust Seal, manufacturer part number (56-908-1-001).
