This Viking™ Micromatic Model M Upright Fire Sprinkler is a standard coverage Upright fire sprinkler head, activating at 220F (104C) with a 5.6 K-Factor, and is rated for Light, Ordinary, and Extra Hazard occupancies. Each Upright head features a heat-sensitive fusible link assembly, standard 1/2 in. NPT threads, and a brass frame with a brass deflector.
This is a standard response, standard coverage, Upright sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI (12 BAR). The VK108 Micromatic Model M Sprinkler features a low profile and compact design. Using a heat-activated fusible link assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach the sprinkler’s listed activation temperature, drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin.

When using Viking™ Upright Sprinkler VK108 for systems designed to NFPA standards, apply the listed areas of coverage and minimum water supply requirements shown in the manufacturer datasheet. This Upright sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12 BAR) and connects to wet piping systems.
Viking™ (VK108) Micromatic Model M Upright Sprinkler Installation and Other Information
The VK108 Upright Sprinkler is installed exposed in the Upright orientation. Refer to the manufacturer data sheet for installation instructions with the approved Viking™ accessories. During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional installation and storage information.
Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black.
Temperature options include 165F (74C), 220F (104C), and 286F (141C).
The VK108 listed wrenches include the approved Viking™ Standard Sprinkler Wrench (21475M/B). Add the correct wrench for your VK108 Upright installation.
