Viking 3/4 in. NPT Standard Response Fusible Link Pendent (VK206) Fire Sprinkler Head

This Viking SR Pendent Fire Sprinkler features a fusible link activating at 220F (104C) with a 8.0 K-Factor, and is available in 1/2 in. NPT or 3/4 in. NPT threads. Each pendent head features a brass frame and copper deflector. The Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is VK206. This is a standard response, standard coverage sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI.

The VK206 pendent sprinkler delivers effective, affordable defense against fire in light, ordinary, and extra hazard (UL) occupancies. Using a heat-activated fusible link assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 220F (104C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin. Each VK206 is made by Viking, a global leader in fire protection manufacturing for nearly 100 years. When installed properly, this fire sprinkler head maintains listings and approvals from cULus (Category VNIV) and FM (Classes 2001 and 2005). Viking Standard Response Fusible Link Pendent Sprinkler VK206 is cULus Listed for installation in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA 13 for standard spray sprinklers. Designed for use in Light, Ordinary, and Extra Hazard occupancies. The sprinkler installation rules contained in NFPA 13 for standard spray pendent sprinklers must be followed (UL).

This pendent sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL, FM and connects to wet piping systems.

Viking SR Fusible Link Pendent (VK206) Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m) (1/2 in.) or 20 ft-lb (27.1 N-m) (3/4 in.). This Viking sprinkler features a white finish and a 220F (104C) temperature. Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black. White Polyester Painted (White), and Flat Black Polyester Painted (Black) are UL Listed as corrosion resistant. Temperature options include 165F (74C), 220F (104C), and 286F (141C).
