Viking ELO Quick Response Pendent (VK377) (Storage-Density/Area) Fire Sprinkler Head

This Viking ELO (Extra Large Orifice) QR Pendent Fire Sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 175F (79C) with a 11.2 K-Factor, and 3/4 in. NPT threads. Each horizontal sidewall head features a brass frame and brass deflector. The Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is VK377. This is a quick response sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI.

The VK377 pendent sprinkler delivers effective, affordable defense against fire in hazard occupancies up to and including Ordinary Group II (UL). Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 175F (79C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin. Viking ELO Pendent Fire Sprinkler Quick Response (VK377) Sprinkler Head Listings and Approvals

Each ELO pendent sprinkler is made by Viking, a global leader in fire protection manufacturing for nearly 100 years. When installed properly, this fire sprinkler head maintains listings and approvals from cULus (Category VNIV), FM (Class 2009), LPCB (Certificate 096e/14), and VdS (Certificate G413049, G413051). Refer to the datasheet for listings and approvals in specific temperatures and/or applications.

Quick Response Extra-Large Orifice Pendent Sprinkler VK377 is cULus Listed for installation in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA 13 for standard pendent spray sprinklers. Designed for use in hazard occupancies up to and including Ordinary Hazard Group II with a minimum operating pressure of 7 psi (0.5 bar). Also cULus Listed for use in High-Piled Storage Occupancies as defined in NFPA 13 with a minimum operating pressure of 7 psi (0.5 bar). Listed only for use in wet pipe sprinkler systems (or preaction systems qualifying as wet systems). The sprinkler installation and obstruction rules contained in NFPA 13 for standard spray pendent sprinklers must be followed.

Sprinkler VK377 is FM Approved as a quick response pendent Storage sprinkler. Approved storage sprinklers are also FM Approved for use as non-storage sprinklers.

This extra-large orifice pendent sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL, FM and connects to wet piping systems.

Viking ELO QR Pendent (VK377) Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 3/4 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 20 ft-lb (27.1 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This pendent

sprinkler features a brass finish and a 175F (79C) temperature. Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black. White Polyester Painted (White), and Flat Black Polyester Painted (Black) are UL Listed as corrosion resistant. Temperature options include 155F (68C), 175F (79C), 200F (93C), and 286F (141C).
