Fire Resistant Plastic Kydex Split Ring 1-3/4 in. Inner Diameter
This 4-1/16 in. Kydex (Split) Ring installs behind new (non-split) or existing (split) fire sprinkler escutcheons to cover oversized holes, including those made for fire assemblies where seismic design, earthquake bracing, or sway bracing are a factor. This trim ring is made from Kydex, a thermoplastic fire-resistant plastic material, and has an inner diameter of 1-3/4 in.
To install, simply place behind sprinkler escutcheon to conceal the oversized hole. For split-ring installation, simply flex open and install around the existing fire sprinkler. An open hole around a fire sprinkler is both unsightly and, in some cases, unsafe. This 4-1/16 in. Kydex Ring also prevents particles from attics, roofs, or upper floors from falling into a sprinkler-protected room, eliminating the need to replace ceiling tile or drywall when mistakes are made.
