3 in. (76.2 mm) Rigid Grooved Coupling forms a water-tight seal between two grooved pipes in fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, plumbing, HVAC, and water-based systems. Pipes joined by rigid grooved couplings behave like flanged or welded pipe, but can be installed significantly faster.
This UL and FM-approved 3 in. (76.2 mm) Rigid Grooved Coupling features a ductile iron body conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12. The gasket is made from EPDM synthetic rubber, recognized as the most water-resistant rubber on the market today. Two pairs of carbon steel M12x60 nuts and bolts facilitate quick installation. Made in Israel, this coupling is Buy American compliant.
3 in. (76.2 mm) Rigid Grooved Coupling features built-in teeth that firmly grasp the pipe ends, facilitating straight pipe lays over short and long distances. Rigid couplings allow less than one degree of deviation from a straight line (angular deflection). This coupling offers a maximum working pressure of 500 PSI (3.4 KPa) depending on pipe diameter and thickness.

The rubber gaskets lack suppleness that allows for easier installation. Stiff and inflexible gaskets are particularly difficult to install on fittings. (The clamshells & bolts are acceptable.)
