Overview
BlowOut Air Duster and Smoke Detector Cleaner safely removes dust and dirt from electronic devices, keypads, circuit boards, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and more. This air duster can also makes it easy to clean smoke detectors.
Each can contains 10 ounces of compressed air. It's silicone-free and contains no ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), making it an eco-friendly choice.
When should smoke detectors and other life-safety electronics be cleaned?
Smoke detectors should be cleaned at least once every six months (and more often, where local laws require it or the manufacturer recommends it). Over time, pollen, dust, pet dander, and other materials circulate through the air and accumulate on electronics.
These materials can block light-sensitive chambers on photoelectric-type smoke alarms and openings designed to permit the passage of smoke in ionization-type smoke detectors. Air dusters can remove these substances from hard-to-clean crevices and openings, facilitating timely activation.
