Trutest 800 Smoke Detector Sensitivity Test Kit

Trutest combines functional and sensitivity testing in one convenient package by adding smoke aerosol to the detector’s sensing chamber. Some detector sensitivity testers need to test the detector multiple times to get a reading on whether the detector has drifted in sensitivity. This, in itself, does not give an accurate reading of how sensitive the detector truly is. These multiple-test detectors can only tell you how much the detector has drifted since the first test, but it will not tell you whether that means the sensitivity is wrong now or was wrong in the past. With only one test, Trutest lets users measure the sensitivity of smoke detectors quickly, accurately and efficiently. This kit offers a variety of products to aid in reliable sensitivity testing.

The main component of this kit, the Trutest 801 Sensitivity Tester is beneficial over traditional sensitivity testers for a variety of reasons – it reduces false alarms, it is battery operated and portable, it suits ionization and photoelectric detectors, and automatically self-calibrates before each test. This simple-to-use tester measures in % / ft. and is UL Listed.

This kit also contains 12 cans of Trutest Smoke 400 Aerosol, which is the only compatible aerosol with the Trutest 801 Smoke Dectector Sensitivity Tester. Available in a 9.5 oz can, this aerosol is non-flammable and UL Listed.

To make it easier to reach detectors on the top of the wall or ceiling, this kit contains the Solo 100 15 ft. Telescopic access pole, which extends from 4.8-14.9 ft.
