Built around a precision Venturi tube, a 2½-inch gate valve, and the dedicated Riptide PRV differential manometer, it allows technicians to create stable, repeatable flow conditions, measure differential pressure accurately, and determine flow using the included flow chart—without relying on separate handheld pitot instruments or pieced-together gauges.
Designed for field efficiency, the Riptide PRV connects inline with standard 2½-inch NHT hose and common test configurations. The integrated gate valve provides smooth, predictable control so operators can dial in target test conditions while maintaining safe, manageable discharge. A static/residual pressure port supports simultaneous system pressure monitoring during PRV evaluations, helping technicians document performance with confidence.
The included Riptide PRV manometer is engineered for practical jobsite use. Features include one-touch zeroing, min/max capture, a backlit display, multiple pressure units, onboard storage for up to 16 readings, and data logging capability up to 5000 points with adjustable logging intervals for consistent documentation. With a measurement range of ±101.5 psi and accuracy rated at 0.2% full scale, it delivers the resolution and reliability needed for PRV testing where small pressure differences are critical.
The system is rugged and serviceable, supplied in a protective carrying case and supported by straightforward maintenance procedures, including battery replacement and annual calibration guidance. For added flexibility, replacement or additional Venturi tubes are available and can be purchased separately to support different setups or keep spares on hand.
