This 1/2 in. NPT durable Brass Ball Drip Valve provides reliable defense against system damage caused by ice in water-based systems, specifically fire protection/fire sprinkler systems and standpipes. With a rated working water pressure of 200 PSI, this gravity-operated valve drains the lowest system point between the Fire Department Connection (FDC) and check valve, preventing moisture from accumulating on the dry side of the FDC. It features two 1/2 in. National Pipe Thread (NPT) connections, with a stainless-steel ball that closes the valve under pressure and prevents leaks during system activation. Gravity returns the ball to the open position as water flow stops.
