1-1/2 in. Grooved Butterfly Valve

This 1-1/2 in. Grooved durable ductile iron Butterfly Valve with Tamper Switch offers precision flow control of gas, fluids, and semi-solids, specifically in fire protection/fire sprinkler systems and standpipes. With a rated working water pressure of 300 PSI and maximum rated working temperature of 212°F (100°C), this valve is suitable for indoor or outdoor use in water-based systems, including as a control valve in fire protection systems.

The handwheel assembly delivers a slow open and slow close, forming a leak-tight seal between the Iron disc and rubber O-ring. A fitted tamper switch allows this Butterfly Valve to activate a local alarm bell or horn when the valve comes to a partial or complete close. The bright-yellow position indicator offers an at-a-glance indication of the valve's position. When closed, the down-flow end of the pipe can be replaced without draining the entire system.

Working at 125/250 VAC, this valve features dual supervisory switches and wiring, making it easy to connect to a fire control panel.
