The Lansdale™ Mechanical Joint NRS (Non-Rising Stem) Gate Valve with Operating Nut is engineered to deliver reliable shutoff in buried and water distribution systems. Its non-rising stem design means the stem remains stationary during operation, making it ideal for installations where space is limited or above-ground stem travel is undesirable.
This valve incorporates a 2 in. square operating nut to allow actuation via wrench or valve key, in which no handwheel is needed. The internal design features a resilient seated, EPDM-encapsulated wedge for effective sealing, combined with triple O-ring stem seals for long-term leak resistance. The mechanical joint ends are manufactured to AWWA C153 / A21.53 standards, enabling direct connection to ductile or cast iron mains.
Certified to conform to AWWA C515 standards, this valve is UL Listed and FM Approved for 300 PSI water service. Both interior and exterior surfaces are protected with fusion-bonded epoxy coatings in accordance with AWWA C550 corrosion protection requirements.
