Mechanical Joint NRS Gate Valve with Plate | Lansdale™
The Lansdale™ Mechanical Joint NRS (Non-Rising Stem) Gate Valve with plate configuration is engineered for robust on/off service in buried water and distribution mains. It uses durable, resilient seated construction, with an EPDM-encapsulated wedge and a triple O-ring stem seal, for tight shutoff and long-term reliability.
This valve features mechanical joint ends conforming to AWWA C153/A21.53 standards, allowing for secure, gasketed connections to ductile or cast iron piping without flanges. The non-rising stem design keeps the vertical travel of the stem internal—ideal for installations with limited vertical clearance. A nameplate, or identifier plate, is affixed to provide model, flow direction, and serial data for inspection and maintenance tracking.
Built to AWWA C515 standards, this valve supports a working water pressure rating of up to 300 PSI and is UL / FM approved. The interior and exterior are coated with fusion-bonded epoxy in compliance with AWWA C550 for corrosion protection.
