Victaulic FireLock FL-RES (V2740) Residential Pendent Fire Sprinkler Head

This Victaulic FL-RES Black Residential Pendent Fire Sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 155F (68C) with a 4.9 K-Factor, and 1/2 in. NPT threads. Each pendent head features a brass frame and bronze deflector. The manufacturer part number is S271KCQHB0, and the Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is V2740. In 2019, Victaulic purchased fire sprinkler company Globe. The Globe Equivalent to this sprinkler is GL4910.

Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 155F (68C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin. Each FL-RES sprinkler is made by Victaulic, a global leader in fire-suppression products. This pendent fire sprinkler head maintains UL Listing.

The V2740 is a residential sprinkler and is cULus listed for use when installed in accordance with NFPA 13 requirements for wet pipe sprinkler systems and designed for use in residential occupancies. This residential sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL and connects to wet piping systems. This model has a 4.9 K-factor, enabling smaller pipe sizes and water supply in a residential fire sprinkler system.

Victaulic FL-RES (V2740) Pendent Head Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This pendent sprinkler features a black finish and a 155F (68C) temperature. Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black. White Polyester Painted (White) and Flat Black Polyester Painted (Black) are UL Listed as corrosion resistant. Temperature options include 155F (68C) and 175F (79C).
