This Viking™ Microfast Model M Horizontal Sidewall Fire Sprinkler is a Quick Response or Standard Response, extended coverage Horizontal Sidewall fire sprinkler head, activating at 135F (57C) with a 5.6 K-Factor, and is rated for Light Hazard occupancies only. Each Horizontal Sidewall head features a heat-sensitive glass bulb assembly, standard 1/2 in. NPT threads, and a brass frame with a bronze deflector.
This is a Quick/Standard Response Viking™ Horizontal Sidewall sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI (12 BAR). The VK605 Microfast Model M Sprinkler offers flexible and reliable fire protection with a sleek, unobtrusive profile. The orifice design allows efficient use of available water supplies for hydraulically designed fire-protection systems. Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach the sprinkler’s listed activation temperature, drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin.

When using Viking™ Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler VK605 for systems designed to NFPA standards, apply the listed areas of coverage and minimum water supply requirements shown in the manufacturer datasheet. This Horizontal Sidewall sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12 BAR) and connects to wet piping systems.

The VK605 Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler is installed surface mounted or recessed in the Horizontal Sidewall orientation.
VK605 is classified as Quick Response and Standard Response.
Refer to the Approval Chart in the manufacturer datasheet for installation requirements in your system.
Refer to the manufacturer data sheet for installation instructions with the approved Viking™ accessories. During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the fire sprinklers themselves. Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional installation and storage information.
Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, and White.
Temperature options include 135F (57C), 155F (68C), 175F (79C).
White and Black Polyester Finish are cULus Listed as corrosion resistant.
The VK605 listed wrenches include the approved Viking™ Standard Sprinkler Wrench (21475M/B) and the Viking™ Recessed Horizontal Sidewall Sprinkler Wrench (13655W/B). Add the correct wrench for your VK605 Horizontal Sidewall installation!
