Safe Signal Alarm Pressure Switch EPS40

These Safe Signal EPS40 Alarm Pressure Switches, also known simply as Pressure Switches, are devices used to monitor and detect the pressure changes in dry pipe systems or pressure tanks and water pressure supplies of automatic water control valves. These pressure switches are typically installed in-line with a bleeder valve and wired to a supervisory circuit of the fire alarm control panel. These components are typically between the system’s check valve and the dry pipe valve.

Proper system pressure is essential for the efficient operation of the sprinklers during a fire event. The primary function of these products is to monitor the pressure in the system and activate an alarm signal if the pressure falls below or rises above the predetermined setpoint. The EPS40 features field adjustable pressure sensitivity to provide an alarm response between 10-100 PSI.

These NEMA 4 Rated Alarm Pressure Switches are designed for indoor and outdoor use. They have an operating temperature range of -40-160F, a maximum operating pressure of 300 PSI, and a differential of approximately 3 PSI at 10 PSI, or 6 PSI at 100 PSI. They have two 1/2 in. conduit entrances, a contact rating of 10A 125/250VAC; 2.5A 6/12/24VDC.

Safe Signal Alarm Pressure Switch EPS40 Options & Other Information

The EPS40 Pressure Switch is available in two options: The EPS40-1 Low Pressure Switch, or the EPS40-2 High/Low Pressure Switch.

The EPS40-1 features one Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) switches and is factory set to operate at a decreasing pressure at 30 PSI.

The EPS40-2 features two Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) switches and is factory set to operate at a decreasing pressure at 30 PSI and an increasing pressure at 50 PSI.

Both Models are UL Listed and FM Approved.
