Safe Signal's PSP1 Special Purpose Plug-in Supervisory Switch is designed for applications where no other type of listed valve supervisory switch can be installed. This Special-Purpose Tamper Switch mounts to non-rising stem gate valves, ball valves, and angle valves in water-based systems, including fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.
Safe Signal's PSP1 Special Purpose Plug-in Supervisory Switch prevents valve tampering and unwanted valve closure by activating a nearby alarm or fire alarm control panel using a supervisory cord. The waterproof cable threads through the valve's handwheel. When the handwheel rotates, the cord pulls out, closing a set of open contacts on the Special-Purpose Tamper Switch.
Featuring a rain-tight die-cast metal housing and approvals from UL, ULC, FM, MEA, and California's Office of the State Fire Marshal, Safe Signal's rugged PSP Special Purpose Supervisory Switch is designed for indoor or outdoor use.
Each Special-Purpose Tamper Switch includes tamper-resistant screws, a security wrench, and a NEMA 3 rated enclosure. Safe Signal's PSP1 Special Purpose Plug-in Supervisory Switch features a 360-degree mounting design and an adjustable-length cord for ease of installation and operation.
