Viking D-1 Sprinkler Head Guard ELO Frame-Style Upright/Pendent Fire Sprinklers

This Viking fire sprinkler head guard helps protect fire sprinklers from impact damage from a variety of causes in a variety of settings – flying balls in a gym, forklifts in a warehouse, or vandalism in an arena. The Model D-1 head guard can be installed during or after initial installation, but it is recommended to install the guard prior to installing the sprinklers themselves. Made of a durable steel or stainless wire with a chrome or stainless steel finish, respectively, these guards, sometimes called fire sprinkler cages, protect from light to hard hits to prevent damage and/or accidental activation. Stainless Steel is for use with Stainless Steel and Wax Coated Viking sprinklers, listed for corrosion resistance.

NOTE: The Model D-1 Sprinkler Guard is NOT designed to be used with sidewall sprinklers or sprinklers installed with recessed escutcheons.

Any place with a high risk for impact/damage to a protruding fire sprinkler is recommended to have a head guard. That typically includes hotels, schools, gyms, warehouses, or any place with low headroom or clearance.
