The Spears FlameGuard™ 1-1/2 in. special reinforced thread inlet swing check valve connects CPVC piping to metal threaded components in wet fire sprinkler systems. Featuring a reinforced female thread inlet, it offers added strength and resistance to cracking under torque. The valve body is made from fire-protection-grade CPVC for corrosion resistance and reliability. The internal swing disc automatically closes when water flow stops, preventing backflow and maintaining system pressure. The socket outlet connects to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-compliant solvent cement for a watertight seal.
Install per Spears FlameGuard™ guidelines for cleaning, cementing, and orientation. Apply CPVC-safe thread sealant to the threaded end and tighten to specified torque.
