CPVC Union — 2 in. Socket — Spears FlameGuard™ — 4257-020
The Spears FlameGuard™ 2-inch CPVC union provides a secure, removable connection between two sections of CPVC pipe in wet fire sprinkler systems. It is made from high-quality, fire-protection-grade CPVC that resists corrosion and chemical attack. Each socket end is joined using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement to create a strong, watertight seal. The threaded union nut allows for easy system disassembly and maintenance without cutting the pipe. This fitting is UL Listed and FM Approved for sprinkler systems built to NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. It is rated for 175 psi of working pressure and a maximum operating temperature of 150°F, making it suitable for residential and light-hazard applications.
Installation should follow Spears FlameGuard™ guidelines for proper surface preparation, cementing, and tightening.
