Power Checker Battery Meter/Tester
This SDi Fire Power Checker tests over 30+ different battery types for their current state of power and state of charge (SoC). Using a patented, high-accuracy pulse load test, this device provides a quick and accurate power measurement for common batteries. This handheld battery tester can be used in commercial applications or at-home as your household battery tester!
Whether it’s NiMH, alkaline, Li-Ion, or Lithium battery testing, this device will accurately display readings for primary (non-rechargeable) and rechargeable batteries alike. This easy to use, battery-safe & non-invasive battery testing tool quickly & accurately identifies weak batteries, measuring performance under load – meaning it is not only measuring internal resistance or voltage alone, letting you know when new batteries are needed before they fail. Using 6 LED indicators – 2 green, yellow, and red – you will know where your battery’s power stands. This device uses 4 x AA batteries (not included) as its own power source.

Why should I keep tabs on battery power with this device?
Much like cell checkers do with battery health, battery power checkers are valuable tools for enhancing battery usage, improving device performance, and ensuring user convenience and safety.
By monitoring battery power levels, users can make better decisions to prolong battery life, optimize performance, and prevent unexpected disruptions. Battery power checkers provide real-time information about the remaining charge or capacity of a battery. This allows users to monitor the battery's energy level and estimate how much runtime or usage time is left before the battery needs to be recharged or replaced.
Furthermore, they can prevent unexpected shutdowns – knowing the battery's power level helps users avoid unexpected shutdowns during critical tasks. Whether it's a mobile device, a laptop, or any other portable equipment, a power checker enables users to plan and manage their activities without sudden interruptions due to a drained battery.
Lastly, a major reason is equipment performance. I’m sure we can all relate to a time when an electronic device was working *just* enough to get the job done but could’ve been much quicker, easier, and likely more effective. In many situations, this is due to a weak or dying battery, even when fully charged, and this situation can always be avoided with a power checker.
When using a battery power checker for an alarm system, it’s always important to ensure that your system is performing to the highest standards for the safety of the building and the people in it.
