Victaulic Series 751 Alarm Check Valve | 6 in. Grooved x Grooved | Ductile Iron | 300 PSI
6-inch UL Listed and FM Approved alarm check valve for NFPA-compliant wet pipe fire sprinkler systems
The Victaulic Series 751 Alarm Check Valve is a dependable fire protection valve designed for wet pipe fire sprinkler systems. This 6-inch grooved alarm check valve combines rugged ductile iron construction, proven reliability, and integrated alarm functionality. With grooved end connections for efficient installation and a 300 PSI working pressure rating, it is well-suited for commercial, industrial, and institutional fire protection applications where NFPA compliance and long-term system performance are required.
How the Victaulic Alarm Check Valve Works
In normal operation, the internal clapper remains closed to stop water from flowing backward into the supply. When a sprinkler head opens and water flows forward, the clapper lifts, allowing system activation. At the same time, the valve’s internal trim directs a portion of water to the alarm line, which can be connected to a water motor gong or an electric pressure switch (sold separately). This alarm signaling feature ensures timely notification of waterflow in accordance with NFPA 13 standards.
Installation and Maintenance
The Series 751 is designed for vertical installations with upward flow through the valve. Grooved end connections provide faster installation compared to flanged systems and are compatible with standard couplings. All auxiliary connections are threaded for use with common fire protection trim. Internal parts can be accessed in place, making inspections and servicing straightforward while reducing downtime in active fire protection systems.
