Viking Freedom Residential Upright (VK467) Fire Sprinkler Head

This Viking Freedom Residential Upright Fire Sprinkler features a glass bulb activating at 175F (79C) with a 4.9 K-Factor, and 1/2 in. NPT threads. Each upright head features a brass frame and bronze deflector. The Sprinkler Identification Number (SIN) is VK467. This is a residential response, standard coverage sprinkler with a maximum working water pressure of 175 PSI.

The VK467 residential upright sprinkler delivers effective, affordable defense against fire in residential occupancies. Using a heat-activated glass bulb assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 175F (79C), drenching the area surrounding a fire to keep it in its place of origin.

Viking Residential Upright Fire Sprinkler Freedom (VK467) Sprinkler Head Listings and Approvals

Each VK467 sprinkler head is made by Viking, a global leader in fire protection manufacturing for nearly 100 years. When installed properly, this fire sprinkler head maintains listings and approvals from cULus (Category VKKW) and is NYC Approved (MEA 89-92-E, Volume 35). Refer to the datasheet for listings and approvals in specific temperatures and/or applications.

When using Viking Residential Upright Sprinkler VK467 for systems designed to NFPA 13D or NFPA 13R, apply the listed areas of coverage and minimum water supply requirements shown in the Approval Chart on the datasheet. This upright sprinkler head has a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR) UL and connects to wet piping systems.

Viking Freedom (VK467) Upright Sprinkler Installation and Other Information

During installation be aware that over tightening will cause permanent damage to the 1/2 in. NPT threads and/or the residential sprinkler head (upright type). Use the manufacturer approved installation wrench and tighten to a maximum torque of 14 ft-lb (19 N-m). Refer to the data sheet for additional storage and installation information.

This upright sprinkler head features a white finish and a 175F (79C) temperature. Available finish options include Brass, Chrome, White, and Black. White Polyester Painted (White), and Flat Black Polyester Painted (Black) are UL Listed as corrosion resistant. Temperature options include 155F (68C) and 175F (79C).
