The Spears FlameGuard™ 3/4-inch x 1/2-inch female sprinkler head adapter connects CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. It is made from fire-protection-grade CPVC and includes reinforced plastic threads for strength and durability. The wrench flats allow easy tightening and removal with standard tools, reducing the risk of overtightening or cracking. The socket end bonds to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-compliant solvent cement for a secure, leak-free connection. This adapter is UL Listed and FM Approved for use in systems designed to NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. It is rated for 175 psi and up to 150°F maximum service temperature.
Install the adapter according to Spears FlameGuard™ instructions for pipe cleaning, cementing, and sprinkler head installation. Apply a CPVC-safe thread sealant and tighten the sprinkler head using the wrench flats to prevent thread damage.
