The Spears FlameGuard™ 1-inch x 1/2-inch female sprinkler head adapter is made from fire-protection-grade CPVC and features reinforced plastic threads for strength and long-lasting performance. Designed with wrench flats, it allows for easy installation and removal using standard tools. The adapter connects CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems, using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement to create a secure, watertight bond. It is UL Listed and FM Approved for use in NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D systems. Rated for 175 psi and 150°F maximum operating temperature, this adapter is ideal for residential and light-hazard sprinkler applications.
