The Spears FlameGuard™ 1 in. spigot female adapter connects CPVC piping to brass-threaded components in wet fire sprinkler systems. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it provides excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and long-term performance. The brass female thread insert ensures a secure, heat-resistant connection that maintains strength under pressure. The spigot end fits into a CPVC socket fitting and is solvent-cemented using ASTM F493-approved cement for a watertight joint. UL Listed and FM Approved, this adapter meets NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D system standards. Rated for 175 psi and up to 150°F, it is designed for residential and light-hazard fire protection applications.
Install according to Spears FlameGuard™ instructions for cleaning, cementing, and tightening. Use CPVC-safe thread sealant and follow the recommended torque specifications.
