The Spears FlameGuard™ 1 in. spigot female adapter is designed to connect CPVC pipe to threaded fittings in wet fire sprinkler systems. Manufactured from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it provides excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. The reinforced plastic threads offer strength and resistance to cracking under torque during installation. The spigot end fits into a CPVC socket fitting and bonds with ASTM F493-approved solvent cement for a watertight, permanent seal. UL Listed and FM Approved, this fitting complies with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. Rated for 175 psi and 150°F maximum temperature, it’s suitable for residential and light-hazard fire protection systems.
