The Spears FlameGuard™ 2 in. x 1-1/2 in. x 1/2 in. sprinkler head tee is designed for connecting CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. It is molded from fire-protection-grade CPVC for excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability. The reinforced plastic thread provides a strong, secure connection for sprinkler heads and reduces the risk of cracking under normal torque. Socket ends are joined to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement, creating a watertight, permanent seal. This fitting is UL Listed and FM Approved for use in NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D systems. Rated for 175 psi and a maximum temperature of 150°F, it is ideal for residential and light-hazard sprinkler systems.
Follow Spears FlameGuard™ installation procedures for pipe cleaning, solvent cementing, and sprinkler connection.
