The Spears FlameGuard™ 2 in. x 1/2 in. sprinkler head tee connects CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. Manufactured from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The reinforced plastic thread offers strength and durability while preventing cracking under normal installation torque. Each socket end is solvent-cemented using ASTM F493-approved cement to ensure a watertight joint. This fitting is UL Listed and FM Approved for systems installed per NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. Rated for 175 psi and a maximum temperature of 150°F, it is designed for residential and light-hazard sprinkler applications.
Install according to Spears FlameGuard™ instructions for pipe cleaning, solvent cementing, and sprinkler head attachment. Apply CPVC-compatible thread sealant and tighten the sprinkler head carefully to prevent damage. The reinforced threads ensure a secure, code-compliant connection that maintains proper sprinkler alignment.
