At the same time, water is diverted through an internal bypass trim, which can be connected to a water motor gong or pressure switch (not included) for local or remote alarm signaling.

This model supports both horizontal and vertical installation, offering flexibility for system layout. When installed horizontally, the drain port must face downward. For vertical configurations, water must flow upward through the valve. These orientation options make it easier to integrate the valve into new or existing risers or system branches.

The included trim features NPT threaded ports for alarm, test, and drain connections. Internal components are accessible for inspection and maintenance without removing the valve from the pipe, minimizing downtime during routine service.
