The Spears FlameGuard™ 1 in. x 1/2 in. spigot female sprinkler head adapter connects CPVC piping to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it offers corrosion resistance, durability, and long service life. The reinforced plastic threads provide a strong, secure connection while reducing the risk of cracking during installation. The spigot end connects to a CPVC socket fitting with ASTM F493-approved solvent cement to create a watertight joint. UL Listed and FM Approved, this adapter complies with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. Rated for 175 psi and 150°F, it’s ideal for residential and light-hazard sprinkler applications.
Install per Spears FlameGuard™ recommendations for cleaning, cementing, and sprinkler head assembly. Apply CPVC-safe thread sealant and tighten carefully to the specified torque.
