The Spears FlameGuard™ SofTorque™ SR 1 in. x 1/2 in. x 1 in. sprinkler head tee features a gasket-sealed reinforced plastic thread for connecting CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. The SofTorque™ SR design limits overtightening and reduces stress on the fitting during assembly. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The socket ends bond to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement for a watertight seal. This fitting is UL Listed and FM Approved for use in NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D systems. Rated for 175 psi and up to 150°F, it is ideal for residential and light-hazard fire sprinkler applications.
Install according to Spears FlameGuard™ instructions for pipe preparation, solvent cementing, and sprinkler head assembly. Apply CPVC-safe thread sealant and tighten only to recommended torque limits. The integrated gasket provides consistent sealing and prevents leaks without excessive force.
