The Spears FlameGuard™ 3/4-inch x 1/2-inch SofTorque™ SR sprinkler head tee connects CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads in wet fire sprinkler systems. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it features a reinforced plastic thread with a factory-installed gasket seal that prevents leaks and limits overtightening. The SofTorque™ SR design provides smooth torque control, helping reduce stress on the fitting and ensuring a reliable seal. The socket ends bond to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement for a watertight connection. This fitting is UL Listed and FM Approved for systems installed under NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D. Rated for 175 psi and up to 150°F, it’s ideal for residential and light-hazard fire sprinkler systems.
Install according to Spears FlameGuard™ directions for cleaning, cementing, and tightening. The SofTorque™ gasket design provides consistent sealing performance and reduces thread wear over time.
