The Spears FlameGuard™ SofTorque™ 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. spigot female adapter connects CPVC pipe to sprinkler heads or threaded fittings in wet fire sprinkler systems. It features a gasket-sealed reinforced plastic thread for a watertight, reusable connection. The SofTorque™ design prevents overtightening and minimizes stress on the CPVC body. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it provides excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and heat tolerance. The spigot end connects to a CPVC socket fitting using ASTM F493-approved solvent cement for a permanent, leak-free seal. UL Listed and FM Approved, this adapter meets NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards and is rated for 175 psi and 150°F maximum temperature.
Install in accordance with Spears FlameGuard™ guidelines for pipe preparation, solvent cementing, and thread assembly. Use CPVC-safe sealant and follow torque specifications to protect threads and maintain sealing integrity. The gasketed thread design provides consistent, long-lasting performance.
