The Spears FlameGuard™ TorqueSafe™ 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. 90° sprinkler head elbow connects CPVC piping to brass sprinkler heads at a right angle in wet fire sprinkler systems. The fitting includes a brass insert with a gasket-sealed female thread for a watertight, reusable joint. The TorqueSafe™ design prevents overtightening and reduces stress on the CPVC body. Made from fire-protection-grade CPVC, it offers corrosion resistance and dependable long-term performance. The socket end connects to CPVC pipe using ASTM F493-compliant solvent cement for a permanent, leak-free seal. UL Listed and FM Approved, this fitting meets NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards. It is rated for 175 psi and a maximum temperature of 150°F.
Install per Spears FlameGuard™ guidelines for pipe cleaning, solvent cementing, and sprinkler head tightening. Use CPVC-safe thread sealant and do not exceed specified torque limits. The gasket-sealed brass threads ensure a consistent seal while reducing the risk of cracking or leaks.
